‘SREE AYYAPPA TEMPLE’, Bolarum is the oldest Ayyappa shrine in Andhra Pradesh, now in Telangana. A congregation of Sree Dharma Shastha formed a society in 1964 in the name of ‘AYYAPPA SEVA SAMITHI’ to congregate, observe, study, perform and carry-out the unique tantric and ritualistic practice, custom, tradition, prayer, worship,pooja, penance, celibacy, vow and austerities devout to Sree Dharma Shastha.
We the Ayyappa devotees with great pride, state that we have achieved what we have today (as is visible to everyone), from a very humble beginnings. Initially by conducting poojas in individual devotee's residence turn by turn every 2nd saturday under the aegis of Sree Ayyappa Seva Samithi in Rajalinga Mudaliar's compound, leased to him by the cantonment board, erecting a temporary shelter and shed in the place where our present Devi Temple stands, performing regular poojas during the Mandalam and Makara Vilakku celebrations including Vishu pooja etc.
